Job Requirment:
 

• Write detailed Test Plans; developing test conditions and manual/automated Test Scripts for various front and back-end functions relating to Internet based applications

• Understands ETL concept and hands-on experience testing Informatica Workflows.

• Understanding of XML and the communication protocols.

• Should have some good data validation experience and should be good at SQL Server and DB2.

• Provide proactive daily status of issues and progress made during test execution and general application testing

• Attend regular business and developer meetings to gather testing requirements as well as to articulate current testing issues/concerns

• Perform Unit, Integration, System, and User Acceptance testing.

• Ability to interact with developers and product/business analysts to communicate testing strategy/status

• Administer & monitor the recording of all defects for project assigned

• Identify outstanding high defects that have not been addressed by the project team.

• Provide regular testing updates to Manager of Quality Control group.  Identify issues and concerns that could potentially inhibit an application's release.

• Continually innovate and create new ideas & procedures for the Quality Control team.

• Develop a basic understanding of the architecture and design for all applications tested within team

• Good attitude.  Ability to build moral amongst team members and customers supported by QC

• A sense of accountability for all project work assigned to the individual and team.

• Ability to work independently and adapt to an ever-changing environment

Skills:
 

• Experience with QA Principles and Software Development life Cycle process improvement practices

• Experience with QA/QC Methodology

• Expertise in Problem solving and Tracking Bug Reports using Bug tracking Tools

• Strong communication skills (verbal/written) - the ability to articulate themselves succinctly to a variety of audiences (PMs, technical specialists, developers, architects, BSAs, etc)

• A strong understanding of functional and requirements testing

• Required - Minimum 3+ years of testing  – writing test plans, cases, and scripts

• Intermediate experience with SQL and/or Winnrunner

• Experience with integration and component based testing across diverse systems

• Detailed oriented and processes the ability to work independently and/or with little supervision in a fast paced results driven environment

• Minimum 2-3 years experience using Microsoft Project, Microsoft SQL Query Analyzer, Excel, Word, Web Browser, Visio, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Ability to adapt to a fast paced environment , learn new processes and multiple technologies

• Understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control principles and how they contribute to the Software Development Process

• Understanding of IBM Rational Tools – A PLUS!
